Abstract

Social media influencers have increasingly become important actors in shaping public opinion and political awareness among young audiences. This study examines the influence of digital content creators and online personalities on youth political attitudes and participation. Through social media platforms, influencers can introduce political topics, promote social causes, encourage voter participation, and shape discussions about public policy. The study adopts a descriptive and analytical approach based on contemporary research on political communication and digital culture. The findings indicate that influencers may help make political information more accessible and engaging for young people. However, concerns exist regarding political bias, undisclosed sponsorship, misinformation, and the credibility of online content. The study concludes that influencers can play a significant role in contemporary political communication, but critical media literacy is necessary to help young audiences evaluate political information responsibly.
